What equipment is provided?
- A first aid kit a fire extinguisher and a fire blanket
- A kettle
- 2 saucepans, a frying pan and utensils
- Plates, mugs, glasses, cutlery and a bottle opener
- Jump leads (just in case) and an electric hook-up cable
- Camping chairs
- Picnic Rug
- Tea towels, bin bags, cloths and sweeping brush
- A full water bottle for the sink
- Welcome Pack containing Tea, Coffee, Sugar and Milk
Is any bedding provided?
We don’t include bedding as people like such different things in their pillows and duvet’s. So please bring your own pillows and duvet we will provide the sheet. If you prefer then bring a sleeping bag or you can hire one from us. If you are going to sleep in the roof space we’d advise you bringing a roll mat or small airbed.
Is there a roof-rack or tow-bar?
How many people does the van sleep?
The rear seats pull out into a double bed suitable for 2 adults which is 190cm x 105cm. The roof bed is 225cm x 100cm so perfect for 1 adult or 2 children.
What are the dimensions of the van?
The vans dimensions are:

Do I need electric hook-up at the Campsite?
You’ll be provided with an electric hook-up should you need. You can use it if you need to use the 3 pin 240v sockets. The van has a seperate leisure battery which will run everything else you’ll need on your trip including USB sockets to charge your mobile devices.
Are there ISOFIX points in the van for child seats?
There are no ISOFIX points provided mainly due to the design of the pull-out bed.
How much fuel does the van use?
At current fuel prices it takes around £90 of diesel to fill the tank. The campervan does around 35mpg so you’ll average around 600 miles on a full tank. This works out at a very reasonable 15p per mile.
What storage space is available?
Each van has plenty of storage space. There are lots of little cubby holes. There is storage under the bed a cupboard and a small wardrobe.
Is the van manual or automatic?
Our van is automatic. So just put her in drive and off you go.
How can I secure a booking?
What do I need to bring with me?
We need your photocard driving license and your DVLA check code, a bill no older than 3 months and containing your home address. You’ll also need to pay via card or cash.
What’s a DVLA check code?
Instead of using the old paper counterpart of your driving license it has been replaced by the DVLA checkcode. You can go here fill out the details and provide us your code. We can make sure it meet’s our conditions and insurance needs. You’ll need your driving license number, postcode and national insurance number to get your code.
How can I pay the security deposit?
You can pay your deposit via credit or debit card, Paypal or BACS.
Who’s can drive the van?
Our insurance covers drivers that are aged between 23-75. The cover is fully comprehensive and we can cover you for as long as you want to book our van for.
You’ll need to hold a full UK or European driving license, need 3 or more years driving experience and have 6 or fewer penalty points on your license.
Other exclusions apply, so please check if you’re not sure.
What are the collection and drop-off times?
Our standard collection time is from 3pm, and drop-off is by 11am.
Can you recommend some campsites?
We don’t have any sites to recommend currently but do have lot’s of ideas on places to go in Norfolk. Please go here to view. We will add a campsite section as we get recommendations from our clients.
Can we leave our car with you while we’re away?
Yes you can leave your car/bike with us at Norfolk Campers HQ but it’s left at owners descrition. If you come via Train or Bus then we can come and pick you up.
Who does the conversions on your vans?
We use a company called Vamoose to convert our vans. They’ve been converting Volkswagen vans for decades, and design their own pop-top roof, Bedrock reclining bed, and lots of other nifty features. They install a Waeco fridge, a Smev sink, and a Wallas XC Duo hob and heater. If you’re thinking of getting your own van converted, give them a call!
Will we need levelling chocks?
No levelling chocks are not provided with our vans as most UK campsites are relatively level.
Do you rent out bigger campervans or motorhomes?
We only have long wheelbase Volkswagen T6 campervans available for hire.
Do you allow dogs?
No sorry we don’t allow dogs.
